Mini Briar Hill Update – May 10, 2024 Dear Briar Hill Parents and Guardians, What a week! Thank you to our remarkable music teacher, Ms. Bachert for bringing together the talented grade one to three students for their first Spring Concert. Our students brought so much joy to this community through their gift of music and dance. A special thank you to the grade 1 and 2/3 teaching teams for all they did to support the students. It was especially fantastic watching the buddy classes be their cheerleaders. So many celebrations and supportive interactions. We can appreciate how busy families are at this time of year, so thank you for carving out time to make the students feel so special. School Council – Date Change We are moving our School Council date from Tuesday, May 14 to May 22, after the evening with Andrew Baxter. Parent Evening with Andrew Baxter Please don’t forget to RSVP for the evening with Andrew Baxter: https://forms.gle/rtGS14y6FwNTpuyT9 BHS will be hosting a parent evening on May 22 at 6:30pm with AHS Education Consultant Andrew Baxter. Andrew is the Team Lead for the Mental Health Literacy Project and a parent at Briar Hill School. Please join us for an informative and engaging evening where he will discuss the states of mental health, common mental disorders, and what we can all do to boost and support the mental health of our children and ourselves. This will be a free event, however please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We’ve also invited Queen Elizabeth and Hillhurst Elementary Schools. Volunteer Tea – Save the Date We want to set aside time to show our gratitude for our amazing volunteers. Please join us on Friday, June 7 from 11:30 to 12:30. Additional information will be sent home soon.
