Briar Hill School Families

“Children are more likely to succeed when they are given responsibility, not just rules.” — Julie Lythcott-Haims

At school, & at home, we see this in action every day. Students who take on responsibilities, like packing their own lunches, choosing their outfits, organizing their backpacks, keeping track of their agendas, or helping with household chores, build independence, confidence, & resilience. Hard or uncomfortable tasks aren’t setbacks; they are opportunities to grow. Research & experience show that kids thrive when they are met with high expectations and high support, the combination that helps them do their best academically, socially, and personally.

Thank you for supporting your child in taking ownership of their learning, both at school & at home.
