Hello Briar Hill Families

As the 2024–25 school year comes to a close, we take this opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the meaningful moments we have shared as a school community.

This week, we had the privilege of honouring and saying farewell to our Gr.6 students as they prepare for the next chapter in their educational journey. It was a heartfelt celebration of their growth and accomplishments.

I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the Briar Hill School community for the warm welcome and support I’ve received since joining in February. Your encouragement and thoughtful feedback have been truly appreciated. I look forward to continuing to support and grow with the Briar Hill community in the years ahead.

2025-26 Communication

  • This is the final Update to Parents for the 2024-25 school year, the next update will be sent out in the last week of August
  • The 2025-26 school year starts for students on Sept 2, 2025
  • The Briar Hill School office will be open August 27, 2025
  • Before the 1st day of school, teachers will reach out to families, introducing themselves and letting them know whose class they are in

  • Report Cards available online June 25, 2025
  • Last Day of Classes is Thursday, June 26, 2026
    • Early dismissal 12:10 am
  • Kindergarten
    • Last day for PM Kindergarten is June 25
    • Last day for AM Kindergarten is June 26

Staffing Update

  • We are sad to say farewell to Jenna Kerr & Tracy Roberts as they pursue other endeavours next year. They have been an impactful part of Briar Hill and will be missed.
  • In the Fall, we are excited to welcome McKenzie Morrison, our new Educational Assistant, as well we will be adding a part-time cleaner to our team in September.

Sports Day June 24th

  • 9-11am, starting with a Virtual Sports Day Assembly
  • To volunteer please sign-up HERE
  • If Sports Day is cancelled because of weather, we will reschedule it for the next day, Wednesday June 25th.
