Welcome back from Spring Break. We are looking forward to seeing our students back at school this week and hearing all their Spring Break stories! Here are your current updates:


CUPE Strike

  • The CUPE strike has ended and we are very excited to welcome back our Facility Operator, Peter Yishi.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • Our staff wanted to thank all families who popped in online for conferences on Thursday night and Friday morning before break. It’s always great to connect and discuss student progress.

Stampede Breakfast

  • Briar Hill School will be hosting a Stampede Breakfast on June 10! Thank you to Tracy Roberts in helping make this happen. More details to come!

Casino Purchase Update

  • As discussed during the last School Council Meeting, we are purchasing 2 Gaga Ball Pits that provide the flexibility of being set up indoors or outdoors, allowing them to be used all year long. As well, a new laptop cart will be purchased to support the new iPads that are already in classrooms. As more Casino Purchases are made, we will continue to update families.

School Council

  • Save the date, next School Council meeting will be on April 17. Stay tuned for reminders and details for the School Council Meeting.

School Planning Survey

  • Thank you to the families that participated in the School Planning Survey providing us with your feedback and helping us with our 2025-26 school year planning. Data from this survey will be shared in the upcoming months with families. The survey is now closed, however feedback is always welcome. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have a question or a suggestion.

PATs

  • Provincial Achievement Tests are an important part of the our Grade 6 student's year. Please note these dates on your calendar, and avoid having your Gr.6 child out of school during PAT dates. Please note that the Grade 6 Science will not be administered in the 2024/25 school due to the changing curriculum.
