Halloween

  • Celebrating Halloween with our students on October 31st brought joy to our building. It was a day of was a day of laughter and connection.

New Chairs

  • Thank you to School Council for raising the money for 60 new chairs for the Grade 5 & 6 classrooms.
  • School Council's support and fundraising has helped build Briar Hill School into the vibrant place for students to learn

Casino Fundraiser

  • Our school's casino fundraiser is coming up on November 21st and 22nd at Cowboy's Casino, and we're looking for volunteers to help make it another huge success!  
  • Our last casino in 2023 raised over $80,000

Remembrance Day & Veteran's Food Drive

  • Briar Hill K-6 students will participate in a Remembrance Day Assembly this week. We will be taking time to honour those who have served in war, conflict, and peacekeeping operations, as well as those who continue to serve.
  • Students will receive a poppy to wear during the assembly (a sticker poppy for younger grades). Students are welcome to bring donations for the Poppy Fund, which will be collected in the office.
  • K-6 we are participating in the Briar Hill Veterans Food Drive this year.
    • Please bring in nonperishable food donations to school Nov 3 –to- Nov 24 
    • Grade Team Challenge: Create the longest line with your food items! 
    • Teams: Gr.1/2, Gr.3/4, & Kinder with Gr.5/6 

Briar Hill Value Awards

  • Staff members will be nominating students that are an exemplary example of one of the 4 Values or have shown significant growth in one of the Briar Hills 4 Values  
  • At the end of November our first group of recipients will receive this award
