A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stepped up to volunteer at the Cowboys Fundraiser Casino this weekend. Your support makes a tremendous difference in our school community and helps Briar Hill School continue to be a successful and inspiring place for all students. A special thank you to Jill Lang for leading this important fundraiser—your commitment is truly appreciated.

I am incredibly proud of the work happening at Briar Hill School. This past week, I had several opportunities to share our story—at a CBE system meeting with administrators, during student intervention PD with colleagues, while touring prospective families, and even in conversations with neighbours in my cul-de-sac.

In each of these moments, I not only highlight the structure, schedule, and systems that guide our school, but also the dedication and skill of our staff, the creativity they bring to enriching student learning, the academic success our students are experiencing, and the intentional work we are doing to support character development and those who need extra care.

While every school faces its challenges, Briar Hill is surrounded by a strong community of support, making it a truly wonderful place to learn and grow.

Cardboard Egg Cartons

  • Is looking for donations of cardboard egg cartons. Please drop them off in the office if you have any to spare.

Snowy Weather Outdoor/Indoor Shoes

  • The compound is slippery, so please be carful at school drop-off & pick-up
  • Please ensure your child comes dressed to spend recess, lunch, and the occasional gym class outside
  • Remember to check your child's indoor shoes during Parent/Teacher Interviews this Thurs & Fri to ensure they still fit and are appropriate for PE class (no crocs, slip-ons)

Gr.6 Vaccines

  • Gr.6 vaccines on Monday, Nov 24, have been postponed. The new date will be shared with families soon.

Re-Takes

  • Missed Photo Day or not happy with the pictures you received?!
  • Retakes will be Dec 5th on the stage

School Council Tuesday, Nov 25

  • All families are welcome to join Tuesday, Nov 25, at 12:13pm

Parent Teacher Conferences

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 27 and 28, 2025.
  • Conference Booking open for families starting at 6:00am on November 20 and will close on at 11:59pm on November 26, 2025. All conferences are booked online through your MyCBE account. Conference Booking Instructions
  • Parent / Teacher Conferences will be 15 minutes in length. All conferences are booked online through your MyCBE account.

  • 4 Briar Hill Documents will be added to the front of the student agendas soon
  • Mr.deBoer will be visiting each class to review documents & have students glue them into the front of the student agenda
