School Council Meeting This Week *NEW TIME*
- School Council is meeting Thursday, April 17 from 12-1pm in the school's Learning Commons. We are hoping the new time will allow some new families to participate. All parents are welcome to attend.
Next Year Planning
We are still fully invested in the 2024-25 school year, however at this point in time we start to look forward and start our planning for the 2025-26 School Year

Mental Health Support
Well-being is an important contributor to success in school, and it is apparent that students need to be healthy to learn (Policy Priorities for Child & Youth Well-Being, 2021). Well-being is central to a student’s ability to thrive in education and life. If you, or someone you know is requiring mental health support please have a look at the following 3 resources:
A group of Calgary-based agencies dedicated to helping community members to quickly and easily access mental health supports. (youth & adult)
Access to rapid action counselling (youth & adult)
AHS Designed and built to provide mental health services for children and youth. The centre offers therapeutic support through a day hospital and community-based treatment. It also provides walk-in services for anyone under 18 years of age and their family who would like to speak with a counsellor. Walk in services do not require a referral. (just youth)
Grade 6 Farewell
Plans are in motion for the Briar Hill Grade 6 Farewell. Memory Books, School Ceremony, and community celebration is in the works. More information will be shared through school Messenger and in upcoming weekly Update to Parents.
