We are looking forward to our parents / teacher conferences this week as we all prepare to head into Spring Break. Here are your updates for the week ahead:


Absences


Moving? Changing Schools?

  • If your family will be leaving Briar Hill School for the 2025-2026 school year, we ask that you please email the office at BriarHill@cbe.ab.ca to update us with your plans.


Update for Individual Program Plans

  • For students on IPPs, the next update will be going home on Monday March 17. These are to be reviewed, signed and returned April 4th
  • Please connect with your child's teacher if you have any questions about the IPP

World Down Syndrome Day 

  • World Down Syndrome Day is March 21st, however students won't be in that Friday, so Briar Hill School will be recognizing and celebrating it as a school community on Wednesday, March 19th. We invite all students to wear their brightest, most fun, and/or mismatched socks that day to show support and raise awareness!

School Planning Survey

  • Last week you received an email with information and invitation to participate in The School Planning Survey
  • Thank you to those who have already participated.  If you have not, please complete the 7 minute Briar Hill School Planning Survey 2025 providing us with your feedback and helping us with our 2025-26 school year planning. Survey Closes March 27th

Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • March 20 & 21 P/T On-Line Conferences are Thursday 4:30-8:00pm & Friday 8:00am-1:00pm
  • The Conference Manager System is open from Friday, March 14th, at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, March 19th at 3:30 p.m.  Book conferences on the CBE on-line School Conference system which is available under your My CBE/Power School Account

  • No school for students on Friday due to P/T Conferences

Assurance Survey

  • All teachers and students at Briar Hill will be completing the Assurance Survey this week.  This survey provides feedback to Alberta Education on students’, teachers’, and parents' / legal guardians' opinions about their school, their school work and the opportunities their school provides
